Typical Hand Plays out Typically...Not

Getty Mattingsley got himself on the best side of a crazy pot over at his table. The player acting under the gun made it 1,200 to go. The player to his left made it 4,200 and Mattingsly shoved his entire 7,800 into the middle. Yet another player after him made it 14,000 to go. Two other players tanked before folding before the first two to act folded. The under the gun player said he folded {a-}{q-} while the original re-raiser folded {q-}{q-} face up.

Mattingsley showed {j-}{j-} and his opponent tabled {a-}{k-}. The flop came {q-}{10-}{4-}. Mattingsly was ahead on the flop, but pulled back in the race when the river came {k-}. However, in the spirit of this crazy hand, a {9-} fell on the river, giving Mattingsley a king-high straight and claim to all the chips.

Mattingsly now has about 21,000 in chips.
