The other player definitely wasn't expecting that move. He tanked for four minutes before finding a fold, much to the amusement of the rest of the table. Mercier moved up to 20,000 without needed to sweat a turn or river.
Michael Mizrachi bet 2,600 on a flop, and his lone opponent called. The turn brought the , and Mizrachi moved all in. The other player called to put him at risk with for the turned straight. Mizrachi's had boat and chop outs, but the wasn't good enough to keep him in the game.
The floor was just called to David Singer's table. Singer's opponent bet 2,800 on the river, and Singer called, tossing out 2,300. The other player turned up his hand, and Singer went to muck since he couldn't beat it. But when the dealer tried to get the other 500 out of him, Singer said he thought the dealer had announced the bet as 2,300. The floor ruled that Singer had to pay the full amount that the player had moved across the line as a bet. And Singer complied after he was allowed to say his piece.
