Darcourt Gives Them Back

There was about 170,000 in the pot when we found ourselves a flop of {J-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {10-Spades}. Guillaume Darcourt was heads up with Ryan Welch, and Darcourt plunked out a leading overbet of 500,000 chips, almost enough to cover Welch. Sure enough, Welch moved all in for 601,000 total, and Darcourt called to put him at risk.

Showdown
Darcourt: {K-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds}
Welch: {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}

Welch's ace-high was ahead, but he needed to dodge a lot of outs to stay alive and double up. The turn {4-Spades} kept him safe, and the {Q-Spades} on the river made him Broadway and locked up the pot. "F***ing hero calls..." Welch said, and the dealer pushed the pile of chips in his direction.

He's up to 1.375 million now, while Darcourt is right back to 1.5 million. Easy come, easy go for the Frenchman.
