Kassela Bullies Buchanan

Frank Kassela raised to 200,000 from the button, and Shawn Buchanan called to see a flop from the big blind.

It came out {2-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {9-Spades}, and Buchanan check-called a bet of 295,000. That brought them to the {7-Diamonds} turn, pairing the board. Kassela wasn't slowing down now, and he fired out a second bullet 475,000 chips strong. Buchanan pulled out a stack of greens (500,000) and cut them down, then pulled another stack out of his pyramid and staged it in front of him. He shuffled another handful of chips, shooting sideways glances across the table now and then.

Eventually, he folded.

Buchanan - 4.1 million
Kassela - 4.5 million

Buchanan Bluffs Kassela

Frank Kassela opened for 175,000 from the button, Shawn Buchanan raised to 535,000 from the big blind and Kassela called.

Both players checked the {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop. The turn was the {2-Clubs} and Buchanan led out for 425,000. Kassela called and they went to the river. It was the {5-Clubs} and Buchanan bet 1,060,000. Kassela gave up his hand and Buchanan took down the pot, showing {K-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for only king-high.

Buchanan is up to 5.2 million.

Shawn Buchanan raised to 175,000 from the button, and Frank Kassela passed from the small blind. In the big, Dan Kelly slid in a three-bet to 480,000 total, and Buchanan made the call.

The flop brought {2-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {7-Spades}, and Kelly continued out with a small bet of 365,000. After a few minutes of careful consideration, Buchanan mad a deliberate reraise to 770,000, and Kelly folded with a quick frown.

Dan Kelly

Shawn Buchanan raised from the button, and Dan Kelly called out of the big blind to go heads up to the flop.

It came {2-Spades} {9-Clubs} {3-Diamonds}, and Kelly check-called a 230,000-chip continuation bet. Buchanan checked behind on the {4-Hearts} turn, though, and Kelly took the opportunity to lead out for 475,000 when the {2-Clubs} landed on the river. Buchanan couldn't call; he slid his cards into the muck, dropping down under 3.5 million.
