Tom Dwan was in middle position and raised to 100. Only the big blind called and the two saw a flop of . The big blind checked and Dwan bet 50.
After the big blind made the call, the turn came the . Both players checked to the on the river, at which point the big blind bet 100. Dwan thought about it, moved his hand forward as if to fold, then suddenly raised to 200.
The big blind didn't miss a lick reraising to 300 and Dwan simply made the call. The big blind turned over for the ace-high flush and Dwan mucked. Dwan is still sitting pretty with around 7,600.
Since this is a shootout event, players will remain at their table until there is one winner. This makes table rosters especially interesting. Two tables with multiple notables are:

Team PokerStars is well-represented by a number of their pros in todays tournament. Among them are Anh Van Nguyen, Greg Debora, Humberto Brenes, Victor Ramdin and Bill Chen. The questions is, can any of them claim victory?
There are tons of notables in the field today despite the fact that the $25,000 shorthanded event is running concurrently.
Tom "durrr" Dwan, Joe Sebok, Bryan Devonshire, Ylon Schwartz, Marco Traniello, Bryan Micon, Matt Hawrilenko, Barny Boatman, Jeff Madsen, Keven "stammdogg" Stammen and our returning champion in this event Greg "FBT" Mueller are all here for some min-raising action!
Day 1 of Event #53: $1,500 Limit Hold'em Shootout is set to begin in a little over an hour. The size of the field, and who will enter, is anyone's guess given that the $25,000 Six Handed event is occurring simultaneously. The good news though, that event is currently being held in the Orange Section of the Amazon Room, which is right next door to the Blue Section where this tournament will take place. This means we will probably see players double dipping in both tournaments.
Last year, this event attracted 571 players and was won by none other than Greg Mueller, who took home $194,854 for his first-place finish. We should know early on how many players enter this year's event, and the subsequent prizepool that is created, since there is no late registration for this tournament.
Already a number of notable poker players have announced their intentions to play via various social networking outlets. Tony Dunst, Andy Bloch and Jason Potter are just a sampling of those who're planning to play.
