Tate Doubles through Schneider

Brian Tate
Brian Tate

Brian Tate's stack has been ground down relentlessly since we came back from dinner, especially now with the limits up to 30,000 and 60,000. He raised the button pre-flop and was called by big blind Mike Schneider. Schneider checked a flop of {9-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, then raised after Tate continued. Tate called to see the board pair on the turn {9-Spades}. Schneider bet, prompting Tate to raise all in. It was less than a full bet to call, and Schneider did make the call. His {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts} was drawing mighty thin against Tate's {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}. The necessary jack did not come in on the river. The river was the {7-Spades}, giving Tate the double-up.
