With around 1,500 in the pot and the board reading , Sorel Mizzi was faced with a 700-chip bet.
Taking his time to contemplate a decision, Mizzi raised it up to 2,300, only to have his opponent move all in for a further 400. Mizzi made the call and we were off to a showdown.

With Mizzi needing a club to eliminate his opponent, he would unfortunately see the land on the river to send him down to 1,400 in chips.
With the board showing and about 2,300 already in the pot, the first player to act checked, then Kathy Liebert unhesitatingly pushed out a bet of 1,500. Her opponent considered for a moment, then let it go.
Liebert has 4,600 here in the latter part of Level 2.
Barry Shulman has been eliminated here near the end of Level 2. Word is his final hand saw Shulman all in with against an opponent's , an ace flopped, and Shulman could not catch up.
Registration has now closed for Event #54. At the moment the big board is showing more than 3,800 total entrants for this event. We should be getting the official total soon, plus prize pool information.
A number of players are just now taking their seats, and we'll be keeping an eye on who arrives. Among the late registrants... Teddy "Iceman" Monroe.
