Welcome to Event #56: $2,500 No-Limit Hold’em!

Good afternoon, and welcome to Event #56. This afternoon's tournament marks the last chance players have to grab a bracelet before we kick off the Main Event next week. While there are still a number of other tournaments running, we can likely expect a large turnout from players wanting one more chance at gold.

The final tournament before last year's Main Event was a $5,000 limit hold'em tournament won by Matt Hawrilenko. The last no-limit event was a $1,500 tournament won by Tony Veckey. We'll see if either of them decide to play in today's event, but we're confident that we're going to have a large, exciting field regardless.

Play is set to kick off at 5:00 PM local time and continue through eight levels of play. Please join us as we follow every flop, turn, and river, on the way to awarding the 56th bracelet of this year's World Series of Poker.
