Seif Eliminated Just Before Day's End

Mark Seif was a powerhouse throughout Day 1 of the tournament; however, that all changed in one big hand.

We are unsure of the action, but with the board reading {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, both Seat 6 and Seif had all of their chips in the middle. Seif had {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and Seat 6 {A-Spades}{K-Spades}. Seat 6 took down the pot of 55,300 and Seif was left with only 4,200.

Two hands later, Seif shoved all in for 4,100 and was called by the small blind.

Seif: {Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Small Blind: {K-Spades}{J-Spades}

The board was kind to Seif coming {Q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and giving him a much needed double up to around 9,500.

The very next hand, Seif again went all in and was called by one player. Again, Seif was behind with {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades} against his opponent's {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. When the board ran out {3-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, Seif's luck ran out. He was eliminated at the very end of Day 1.
