If You've Got Two Pair, You're Good

We picked up the action on the turn as the board showed {Q-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {9-Clubs} {K-Spades}, and Joe Gotlieb checked. Daniel Burke fired out a bet of 26,000, drawing an all-in check-raise from Gotlieb. "Well... if you've got two pair, you're good," said Burke. "I call." That action put Burke all in and at risk, and he would soon see that his read was correct:

Burke: {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds} (one pair)
Gotlieb: {K-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} (two pairs!)

The river was a blank {4-Clubs}, changing nothing and marking the elimination of Burke.
