Scott Haraden Eliminated in 5th Place ($45,393)

Scott Haraden - 5th Place
Scott Haraden - 5th Place

Scott Haraden raised to 50,000 under the gun, and when it folded to James Dempsey, he bumped it up to 130,000. Haraden called to see the {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop, then moved all in for his last 90,000. Dempsey called with {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for top pair. Haraden would need to hit a diamond to stay alive with {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. The {5-Spades} on the turn was no help, and the {2-Hearts} on the river was a brick as well. Haraden was relegated to the rail in fifth place, not bad for his first WSOP cash.

Haraden's elimination pushed Dempsey even further out in front of the rest of the pack. He's got nearly 1.5 million now.
