Chop It Up

Antonio Esfandiari and Joe Hachem have really been going after each other. A minute ago, they both got all of their chips in the middle with ace-queen against ace-queen and split the pot.

A few hands later, Esfandiari raised to 1,000, and Hachem repopped it to 2,600. Esfandiari called and checked the {q-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop. Hachem bet 3,250, and Antonio called. Both players checked the {10-Clubs} turn. After the {7-Clubs} river, Antonio tried to steal the pot with a 5,300 bet. Hachem called with {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for top pair, second kicker. Esfandiari tabled {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for the exact same hand, and the chopped the pot again.

"The turn over a better hand than I've had every single time," lamented Howard Lederer. "I keep thinking they could be playing less than that, but they always have it. It's unbelievable"
