Zhukov Doubles

Level 28 : 50,000/10,000, 0 ante

George Lind raised with the button, and Viacheslav Zhukov defended his big blind. The flop came down {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}{8-Hearts}, and Zhukov check-raised Lind. Lind called.

Zhukov led out after the {q-Diamonds} turned, Lind called, and Zhukov put out his last bet after the {3-Spades} fell on the river. Lind called again, but mucked when Zhukov opened {8-Clubs}{8-}{x-}{x-} for a flopped full house.

Billirakis Adding More

Level 28 : 50,000/10,000, 0 ante

Viacheslav Zhukov raised on the button, and Steve Billirakis called out of the big blind. The flop came down {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Spades}, and Billirakis check-called a bet from Zhukov. Billirakis check-called another bet after the {3-Spades} turned, and led out after the {j-Hearts} fell on the river. Zhukov called.

Billirakis opened {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} for two-pair; fives and threes, and Zhukov mucked his hand.

Richard Ashby Eliminated in 4th Place ($161,379)

Level 28 : 50,000/10,000, 0 ante
Richard Ashby - 4th place
Richard Ashby - 4th place

Steve Billirakis opened the button to 200,000, and Richard Ashby made it three bets to go from the big blind. Billirakis obliged him, and Ashby bet in the dark before the dealer spread the {2-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} flop. Billirakis called, and the {4-Clubs} landed on fourth street. Ashby bet again, and Billirakis raised to put him all in.

Showdown
Billirakis: {2-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {6-Spades}
Ashby: {A-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}

Billirakis had made his straight to the eight, but Ashby had a made seventy-five, looking for the low half the pot. The river {A-Clubs} was a scoop card for Billirakis, though, and he improved to a sixty-five low to take the whole pot and send Ashby to the rail in fourth place.

Things change quickly in this game (with these limits), and Ashby has gone from Penthouse to out-of-the-house in just an hour's time. He'll take home $161,379 for his efforts, or about ten quid with the exchange rate.

Zhukov Quarters Ashby

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante

Viacheslav Zhukov was the first to act, and made it two bets. Richard Ashby called on the button, Steve Billirakis defended his big blind, and the flop fell {5-Clubs}{10-Spades}{k-Hearts}. Billirakis checked to Zhukov who fired a continuation bet. Ashby was his only caller.

Ashby called two more bets from Zhukov on the turn ({2-Spades}), and the river ({7-Hearts}). The hands were tabled, but weren't pulled in - so pardon our lack of suites/cards.

Zhukov: {a-}{3-}{10-}{x-} - High and Low
Ashby: {a-}{3-}{x-}{x-} - Low

Mack Lee Eliminated in 5th Place ($122,054)

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante
Mack Lee - 5th place
Mack Lee - 5th place

Steve Billirakis opened the pot with a raise, and both blinds (Mack Lee and Richard Ashby, respectively) came along with calls to see a flop.

It brought {J-Spades} {4-Spades} {7-Diamonds}, and the blinds checked to the raiser. Only Lee called Billirakis' bet, and Ashby ducked out before the {K-Hearts} turn. Lee took the lead with a bet of his own now, and Billirakis raised to put him all in.

Showdown
Billirakis: {A-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {5-Spades} {4-Hearts}
Lee: {A-Spades} {K-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {5-Clubs}

Billirakis was in front with two pair, and the river {Q-Spades} was a miss for Lee. He's run out of chips, and he's been run out of the room in 5th place. That's good for six figures, and he'll pick up $122,054 as his consolation prize.

Billirakis Doing What He Does Best

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante

Doubling.

Mack Lee raised preflop, and Steve Billirakis re-raised from the small blind. Lee called. Billirakis proceeded to lead out on every street as the board ran {8-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}{k-Spades}{10-Clubs}. Lee every bet, including Billirakis' all-in bet on the river, and mucked when Billirakis tabled {a-Spades}{5-Spades}{a-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for the nut-flush.

Billirakis doubled to 950,000 chips, while Lee dropped to around 400,000.

Lind Leads the Way

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante

George Lind has emerged as the clear chip leader after mixing it up with the other big stack. Richard Ashby opened the small blind, and Lind came along with the call from the big.

The flop brought {6-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {9-Spades}, and Lind called a bet before the {6-Diamonds} paired the board on the turn. Ashby checked, Lind bet, Ashby raised, and Lind called the second bet. The river came the {7-Clubs}, and Ashby checked again, then called one more bet.

Lind showed {2-Spades} {6-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}, and it was good enough to scoop the whole pot. Ashby spent about a minute studying his cards, then kicked them into the muck as Lind raked in the chips in front of both players.

With that pot, Lind moves up to about 2.65 million and into the clear chip lead.
