Tran Busts Two

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
JC Tran Back Towards the Top
JC Tran Back Towards the Top

First, it was Donald Boivan. J.C. Tran ousted him and waited not a single hand to get the next notch on his belt.

The under the gun player raised to 5,400. Tran, next to act, re-raised to 14,000. Michael De Gilio tanked in the cutoff for a minute or two before announcing he was all in for his final 50,000 and it folded back to Tran who made the call.

De Gilio was in good shape with his {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} against the {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} of Tran. De Gilio even flopped well when it came {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. However, the turn was not as kind. It was the {A-Clubs} and put Tran in front. But it could have been worse. It was the Ace of clubs which gave De Gilio a flush draw, along with the two remaining Kings.

Today is J.C. Tran's day though and the {5-Spades} sent De Gilio to the rail. Tran, who started the day as a top 5 stack, has reached that point again with 257,000.
