Isaac Haxton led out from the big blind on a {J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop and the player in the cutoff made the call. On the {10-Hearts} turn, Haxton check-called his opponent’s bet. The {5-Clubs} river was checked by both players and Haxton showed {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} for the smallest of two pairs. The cutoff mucked and Haxton was up to around 20,000 after the hand.

After four betting preflop Barry Greenstein and his opponent got to see a flop of {K-Hearts} {10-Spades} {4-Hearts}. Greenstein then bet out after his opponent checked to him and was called. Both players got to witness the {3-Clubs} come down on the turn.

Eskandani Eliminated

We got to the table in time to see Mori Eskandani all in preflop for his last 900 against two opponents. When the flop came down {Q-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}, one of the live players bet and forced the other out, leaving Eskandani heads up for his tournament life.

Eskandani: {5-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{6-Spades}

Eskandani was ahead and looking to pair his five or seven. The dealer burned and turned the {K-Spades}, which was no help. It was down to the river for the famous TV producer. Unfortunately for him, the river was not made for TV as the unexciting {Q-Diamonds} peeled off. Eskandani has been eliminated from the tournament.

Ylon Crippled

Ylon Schwartz
Ylon Schwartz

We caught up with the action three handed on a {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{J-Spades} board. It was checked to Isaac Haxton in the cutoff who bet. The small blind came in with a check-raise and Ylon Schwartz made the call from the big blind while Haxton folded. On the {K-Clubs} river, the small blind led out. After some deliberation, Schwartz raised and the small blind instantly three-bet. Schwartz took some time before he made what looked like a painful call. The small blind turned over {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} for the nut flush as Schwartz mucked his hand.

Lisandro Chipping Up

Jeff Lisandro raised from middle position only to have the player on the button two-bet. Lisandro was the only one to make the call, which was folllowed by a {J-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop. Lisandro check-called a bet, leading to the {K-Spades} turn, which both players checked.

When the {3-Hearts} hit the turn, Lisandro led out and his opponent made the call, only to muck when Lisandro rolled over {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}.
