Hawrilenko Bests Eslami

From middle position, Ali Eslami raised and Matt Hawrilenko called from the big blind. The flop came down {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and both players checked to see the {K-Hearts} land on the turn. Hawrilenko bet 1,500 and Eslami made the call.

The river was the {2-Hearts}. Hawrilenko checked first and Eslami checked behind. Hawrilenko tabled the {J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for a pair of nines and Eslami mucked.

Boeree Takes Down Aces

Level 7 : 200/400, 0 ante

We caught up with the action just as Liv Boeree had bet a bit under 4,000 on the river with the board reading {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{Q-Spades}{K-Diamonds}. Her lone opponent reluctantly tossed in a call and Boeree showed {J-Spades}{10-Hearts} for the flopped nuts. Her opponent said, "I knew it," and tabled {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds} for cracked rockets.

Boeree is now up to 19,000.

Kessler Comes Over the Top

Level 7 : 200/400, 0 ante

A player in early position raised to 1,200 and it was folded around to Kessler's big blind. Kessler made the call and we were off to a flop of {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Kessler check-called his opponent's bet of 1,800. The {4-Clubs} came on the river and Kessler checked once again. This time his opponent fired out 3,600, and Kessler responded by moving in a large stack of 500 chips, raising a significant amount. His opponent looked disheartened as he mucked his cards and Kessler scooped up a sizable pot.

Chop Chop!

Level 6 : 150/300, 0 ante

On a board reading {4-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades}{J-Hearts}, Antonio Esfandiari had bet 3,700 from the hi-jack position when we caught up with the action. His opponent in the big blind announced, "Pot!" and stuck his remaining 11,000 in the middle. The Magician let out a sigh and flung in a reluctant call.

Esfandiari: {J-}{10-}
Opponent: {J-}{10-}

"Nice hand, sir," Esfandiari said. The dealer dealt out an irrelevant {5-Hearts} on the river and chopped up the pot.

Esfandiari is hovering around the 22,000 mark.

Fohrenbach Doubles Through Chiu

Level 6 : 150/300, 0 ante

With 2,950 chips in the middle, Ricky Fohrenbach fired 1,400 on the {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{A-Hearts} board. His opponent, David Chiu, made the call and the two saw the {8-Diamonds} peel off on the river. Fohrenbach wasted little time in moving all in for 4,500 even. Chiu said, "Well, I can go play the 10K," and then made the call.

Fohrenbach showed the {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} and Chiu flashed just the {A-Spades} before mucking his hand. Fohrenbach won the hand and moved to 14,750 while Chiu dropped to 2,800.
