D'Agostino Chops One Up

Level 15

Omaha-8:

The player on the button raised to 5,000 before the flop and John "J-Dag" D'Agostino made the call.

Flop: {7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}

After a check by J-Dag the button bet 2,500 and D'Agostino made the call. The turn card came {Q-Hearts} and both players opted to check. The dealer dropped the {A-Diamonds} on the river and J-Dag checked for a third time, prompting the button to fire 5,000 into the middle.

After deliberating for a minute or so, J-Dag made the call and showed his {A-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{J-Clubs} for an A-4-5-7-8 low. The button tabled {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{K-Spades} for the nut flush and the two chopped the pot.

Pescatori Climbs through Friedman

Level 15

Omaha-8:

Adam Friedman called a bet from Max Pescatori on the {A-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop before checking the {5-Diamonds} turn. Pescatori checked behind. The river completed the board with the {9-Spades} and Friedman checked. Pescatori bet and Friedman called.

Pescatori tabled the {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for nines full of fives after the river card and all Friedman could muster up was, "Oh my god, holy sh*t," before mucking his hand.

Friedman dropped to 71,000 while Pescatori climbed to 59,000.

D'Agostino Adds

Level 15

Omaha-8:

Todd Brunson checked the {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop and John D'Agostino bet. The third player in the hand called and then Brunson folded.

The turn was the {8-Clubs} and D'Agostino checked. His opponent checked behind.

The river was the {4-Spades} and D'Agostino fired a bet. His opponent mucked and D'Agostino scooped the pot to increase his stack to 81,000 in chips.

Flack Deflating after Break

Level 15

Hold'em:

As the rest of the players were taking their seats after the dinner break ended, Layne Flack was spotted rushing back to his table with a cold adult beverage in has hand, making sure not to spill a drop while he navigated the tournament area. With Victor Ramdin yet to arrive, Flack told the rest of his tablemates, "don't worry, I flattened Ramdin's tires on break, he won't be back."

Flack proceeded to raise in late position during a hand of hold'em, making it 5,000 to go before the flop. He picked up on caller on the button and we saw a flop of {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{A-Spades}. Flack immediately continued with a bet of 2,500 and the button made the call. The {J-Diamonds} fell on the turn and Flack checked, but immediately mucked his hand when the button reached for chips.

While the issue of Victor Ramdin's flattened tires is dubious at best, we can confirm that Flack's chip stack has been slightly deflated as we resume play.

Chow Time...

Level 14

We have reached our 60-minute dinner break here in the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. tournament and the 71 remaining players have made their way out of the Amazon Room in search of a good meal.

The King Gets His Throne

Level 14

On the lighter side, we noticed that Day 1 chip leader Eli Elezra, who has also dominated Day 2 thus far, sitting a bit higher than the rest of his fellow players. The reason soon became apparent; Elezra had commandeered a vacated dealer's chair and stealthily moved it to his table.

While the other competitors are twisting and turning in discomfort while sitting in the notoriously rigid player's chairs, Elezra appears to be as comfortable as a king, which is fitting for the man who has royally trounced this field through a day and a half of play.

Baker Busts Bari

Stud:

We caught the very end of the action, but we did see that Allen Bari was all in by seventh street with {K-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Hearts} (not in that particular order). Bari's wheel still had outs to fade, though, as Baker tabled {J-Spades}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts} (again, not necessarily in that order) to be drawing to a full house.

Baker did in fact get there on seventh, flipping over the {6-Spades} to fill up.

Ramdin Rams Doniv Right out of the Room

Level 14

Stud:

We missed most of the action but caught Victor Ramdin tabling a flush against Ivo Doniv. Apparently Doniv was unable to beat Ramdin's holding and he soon departed the Amazon Room and headed to the cashier's cage.

Ramdin now sits with approximately 150,000 chips, placing him near the top of our leaderboard as Day 2 continues to march onward.
