A Note on the Scale of Today's Field

The 3,157 entrants we had at the start of the day were spread across the entirety of the Pavilion Room, save for a few cash game tables, and two full sections of the Amazon Room. Tournament officials have been breaking tables at a record pace today, moving some players up to four times.
Now the field has been reduced to only the Black section and 15 tables in the White section in the Pavilion Room. The board reads only 650 players remaining. It is likely that once play ends all the Day 1 surviving players will be in just the Black section.
