Rajkumar, Cody and Elias Advance to Second Round

Level 7 : 1,000/1,000, 0 ante

Vivek Rajkumar defeated Pramesh Bansi with flair, cracking his opponent's {A-}{A-} with a set of Three's. After getting all of the chips into the middle, Rajkumar was far behind Bansi's rockets but when the door card was revealed to be the {3-}, his flopped set was enough to dispatch a shocked Bansi. Jake Cody also moved on to the next round when his {4-}{4-} materialized into a set on the flop. The {A-}{6-} held by George Adams was not enough and Cody advanced to Round 2. Also moving on to the second round was Darren Elias, whose {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} hit the flop of {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} hard. His opponent John Monnette held {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and was far behind, ultimately falling to Elias' nut flush when the turn and river came {6-Clubs} and {3-Diamonds}.
