Froehlich Eliminated

Eric Froehlich was just eliminated. His {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} went down to an opponent's {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs} after all of the money went in preflop and the board ran out {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{6-Hearts}.

"Second time that's happened to me today," commented Froehlich as he made his way to the rail.

Waxman Doubles and Then Some

From middle position, Eric Froehlich raised to 850. Matt Waxman was in the next seat and made the call before action folded to Nikolai Yakovenko on the button. He also made the call and everyone else folded.

The three players took the flop of {8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} with 3,000 chips in the middle. Froehlich checked after having raised preflop and Waxman announced, "Pot," before sticking out 3,000. Yakovenko called and then Froehlich did the same thing, leaving all three players in to see the turn.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and with 12,000 in the middle, Froehlich checked. Waxman bet 2,200 and was all in. Yakovenko tank-folded before Froehlich made the call.

Froehlich: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Hearts}
Waxman: {K-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs}

The river completed the board with the {Q-Clubs} and Waxman's pair of eights held up to be the best hand at the end. Froehlich shipped over the chips to allow Waxman to double up and then some.

Bellande Falls

Level 6 : 150/300, 0 ante

On a board of {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs}, Jean-Robert Bellande bet 2,250 and was called by his opponent. The {A-Hearts} turned and Bellande checked. His opponent bet out putting Bellande all in, but Bellande opted to fold instead, leaving himself with only 800 in chips.

The very next hand the player on the button raised preflop and Bellande called for his all in from the big blind.

Bellande: {A-Spades}{5-Spades}{K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Opponent: {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}{8-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

The board came down {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and Bellande failed to improve, felting him and sending him to the rail.

On the {A-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop, one payer checked and the next player bet 1,250 before action fell on Jeff Sarwer. Sarwer put in a raise to 2,800. The first player folded and the next player followed suit, showing the {A-Hearts}. Sarwer showed the {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}, but didn't show his other two cards. He's up to 26,500 in chips now.

"What the **** just happened?!"

Level 6 : 150/300, 0 ante

That's all Phil Hellmuth could say after he was officially eliminated from today's Pot-Limit Omaha event.

We caught up to see a three-way preflop all in and Phil Hellmuth spreading his cards on the table, his tournament life at risk.

Hellmuth: {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Opponent 1: {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Opponent 2: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

The board {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{7-Hearts} and the first opponent scooped the pot with eights full of sevens.

"He shipped with f***king two eights and ace-ten? What the f*** just happened?", asked Hellmuth to no one in particular.

Hellmuth continued to walk around the table, half-laughing, half-shocked, asking others at the table "Did you see that? Did you see what the f*** just happened?"

Hellmuth's quest for the twelfth bracelet will have to be postponed for another day.
