Selbst Stays Aggressive

Level 3

Hold'em

Vanessa Selbst raised from the button, and was reraised by the player in the small blind. Never one to shy away from aggression, Selbst fired back with a fourth bet, and her opponent called. The flop came {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades}, and Selbst fired again after the small blind checked. The player called the bet, and both players checked the {6-Diamonds} on the turn. On the river, the {10-Spades}, Selbst fired after it was checked, and her opponent laid it down. Selbst pads her stack, and is now up to 10,600.

On sixth street, Brown took the lead with a pair of aces and bet. Only the player showing the pair of fives called and then on seventh street both players checked.

Negreanu Draws Well

Level 3
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

2-7 Triple Draw

Daniel Negreanu opened with a raise from the cutoff seat, and he was called by both the button and the big blind. Everyone took two cards, and Negreanu continued out with a bet. The button raised (folding the big blind), and Negreanu called the extra bet. They'd pat the rest of the way, checking after the second drawing round. That was all Negreanu needed to see; he bet the final round, and his opponent called.

Negreanu showed up {8x7x5x3x2x], and his eighty-seven earns him the pot, moving up to 9,300.
