Racener On Top

Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

John Racener raised from early position, and Konstantin Puchkov called from the blinds. Puchkov drew three, and check-called a bet from Racener who drew two.

Puchkov drew two, Racener stood pat, and Puchkov check-called another bet.

Puchkov only drew one on the last draw, and Racener stood pat again. Puchkov checked blind, Racener checked behind, and opened {10-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-}. Puchkov folded, and Racener pulled in the pot.

Dyer Fills Up

Stud 8/b

Gregory Dyer: ({x-}{x-}) / {5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} / ({x-})
Max Pescatori: ({x-}{x-}) / {4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} / ({x-})

Dyer completed, Pescatori called, and then called another bet from Dyer on fourth street. Both players checked on fifth street, then Dyer led on both sixth and seventh. Pescatori called both bets.

Dyer opened {5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for a full house, and Pescatori flashed the {2-Spades} before mucking his hand.

Pescatori Doubles

Max Pescatori three-bet shoved for about 25,000 after Owais Ahmed opened the pot. Ahmed called, and we were off to the races.

Pescatori: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Ahmed: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

The flop came down {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, giving Ahmed a set of queens, and leaving Pescatori with four outs to a straight. He made that straight when the {10-Spades} spiked on the turn, giving him Broadway, and the {2-Clubs} bricked on the river.

Pescatori doubled, while Ahmed lost bout a third of his stack.

Van Alstyne Out

Level 16

James Van Alstyne: ({x-}{x-}) / {6-}{8-}{6-}{k-} / ({x-})
Ben Yu: ({x-}{x-}) / {7-}{8-}{7-}{q-} / ({x-})
Brian Rast: ({x-}{x-}) / {10-}{a-}{10-}{10-} / ({x-})

Van Alstyne was all in before fourth, Yu bet into the side pot every street, and Rast called him down.

Yu opened {a-}{2-}{3-} for an eighty-seven low, shipped the pot, and eliminated Van Alstyne just short of the money.

Buchman Gets Even With Katchalov

Level 16

Stud

We just caught the tail end of this pot, walking up to about 100,000 chips in the middle and Eric Buchman making the lat bet. Action was on Eugene Katchalov, and he considered for a long while, staring down at this:

Buchman: (x-x) / {5-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{a-Spades} / (x)
Katchalov: (x-x) / {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} / (x)

Katchalov eventually decided to call the last bullet, and Buchman rolled over {10-Spades}{q-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for the spade flush. It was good, and that big pot pushes Buchman up to about 115,000, now dead even with Katchalov.

Hand-By-Hand We Go

Level 16

We've reached 49 players, the the tournament is now being dealt hand-for-hand. We'll play for one more knockout, and everyone that survives will be in the money.

Bubble Trouble... Double!

Level 16

Razz

While we were waiting for the elimination at the adjacent table, Brent Hanks got himself all in as well. It was a Razz pot that we joined on sixth street.

Hanks: (x-x) / {5-}{5-}{2-}{a-} / (x)
Kelly: (x-x) / {4-}{q-}{6-}{k-} / (x)

Hanks bet on sixth street, leaving himself just 2,500 back. Kelly went ahead and raised him in, and Hanks stood up to sweat his fate. It was about three or four minutes of pause before the floor man came over to mediate the hand. Kelly rolled over {5-}{2-}, then pulled an {8-} to make an eighty-six. Hanks had started with {a-}{4-} buried, and he needed to pull a three, six, seven, or eight to stay alive.

Hanks squeezed, then rolled over a nice red {7-} to secure his double. He's back to about 48,000 now, while Kelly is knocked back to 45,500.

Bruno Benveniste Bursts Bubble

Omaha 8/b

Nikolay Evdakov raised from under the gun, Mayu Roca Uribe three-bet on his direct left, Shaun Deeb called in the small blind, and Bruno Benveniste put in four bets from the big blind. All three players called, and the flop fell {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. Deeb checked, Benveniste moved all in for less than a bet (2,700), and all three players called.

The remaining three players checked the {7-Spades} on the turn, but Deeb led after the {4-Diamonds} hit the river. Evdakov and Uribe called.

Deeb: {a-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} - High & Low
Evdakov: {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} - Low
Uribe: {3-Hearts}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{6-Spades} - High
Benveniste: Mucked - Bubble
