A Check-Raising War

Level 3

Hold'em

From the cutoff seat, a gentleman opened with a raise, and Brett Richey defended his big blind to see a flop. It came {3-Spades} {3-Hearts} {2-Spades}, and Richey check-raised the continuation bet. His opponent bet and then called, and Richey led out on the {J-Hearts} turn. Now the button raised, and Richey called the extra bet to see the {4-Hearts} on the river. The action was the same as the flop now with Richey check-raising and both players putting in two big bets apiece.

Richey showed {2-Hearts} {6-Hearts} for the baby flush, and it was good enough to take the pot and move his stack up to 15,500.
