Landowner

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

A three-way pot on a flop of {Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{9-Clubs} was checked to Ben Landowski who bet 3,000, James Dempsey then check-raised from the small blind and Ray Henson flat-called in the big. Landowski then made it three bets and both blinds called.

The {7-Diamonds} turn was checked to Landowski who bet 6,000 and was again called by both other players as the pot swelled to a considerable amount. The river was the {7-Spades}, Dempsey and Henson both check-folded to a bet from Landowski - the latter picking up a pot of over 70,000 chips.

Two Ski’s and a Fricke

We caught up with the action on a {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop where Jimmy Fricke and Ben Landowski both checked. David Nowakowski bet and got check raised by Landowski. Fricke got out of the way and Nowakowski moved all in. Landowski made the call and the players turned up their cards.

Landowski: {A-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Nowakowski: {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

The turn was the {7-Spades} which locked up the high for Landowski with the nut flush and the {4-Clubs} on the river sent Nowakowski packing.

Men Fades and Scoops

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

UPDATED: Preflop, Ruben Vera raised, Bryan Micon re-raised to 9,000 and both Men and Ruben Vera called

On the flop of {5-Clubs}{7-Spades}{K-Clubs} Men Nguyen checked, Ruben Vera checked and Bryan Micon bet out for 3,000. Nguyen raised to 6,000, Vera moved all in for his last 3,000 and Micon went all in for his last 9,000 with a call from Nguyen.

Nguyen showed {A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{9-Spades} for a pair of sevens and a draw to an ace-4 low, Micon showed {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for a pair of fives and a draw to the nut low, Vera showed {A-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for a pair of fives as well and the worst draw to the low.

After the {Q-Diamonds} came on the turn, Men yelled out "Keep it high!" The river was a {9-Clubs} and Men somehow faded all the low outs to take down the huge pot, chipping him up to 118,000 and knocking out Vera and Micon.

Wax On, Wax Off

Four players saw a flop of {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and Matthew Waxman was the first to check. Dave Stann followed suit but his nemesis Men Nguyen threw out a bet. Miguel Proulx made the call as did the other players. The {2-Spades} turn got checked around but action heated up when the {2-Diamonds} hit the river. It was checked to Nguyen who chose to bet and got called by Proulx. Waxman came in with a check raise which got Stann out of the way. Nguyen fired back with a three bet that got Proulx to fold but Waxman made the call.

Waxman: {8-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Nguyen: {J-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

Waxman’s full house and low were good to scoop as Nguyen lost some of the chips that he had just won before.

Jones folded and Seidel took the side pot then showed {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for aces up, Alioto turned over {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for an ace-five low to chop the low half. GB Scoops Then Busts

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

From the hijack, Gary "GB" Bolden raised to 6,000 from the hijack (with only 500 left behind), Bradley Helm re-raised him all in and Bolden called.

Bolden showed down {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} to Helm's {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Bolden rivered a wheel to scoop the pot worth 17,500.

The very next hand, Bolden raised to 6,000 under the gun with calls from Brian Swinford and Travis Pearson.

The flop came {3-Spades}{K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} with checks all around. The turn was the {2-Hearts} Pearson bet out for 6,000, Bolden called and Swinford folded.

The river was a {7-Hearts} and Pearson bet 6,000 to put Bolden all in for his last 5,500.

Pearson showed {A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for an ace-four low and a pair of sevens to go along with the kings on the board which was enough to scoop and knock out GB.

Paging Mrs. Lawson

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Ted Lawson was all in preflop but Men Nguyen didn’t realize and asked how much Lawson had behind. Lawson joked “I’ve got another 100k, it’s in my wife’s purse” and the table had a good laugh. Lawson wasn’t able to win the hand but still hit the rail with all smiles.
