Some Random Counts

Serock Doubles

We missed the action but saw Joseph Serock double up holding the {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{j-Spades}{3-Spades} versus his opponent's {a-Spades}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} on a board reading {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{j-Clubs}. Serock will still need some help to build his stack, but he's heading in the right direction for now.

Nacho Learning?

Nacho Barbero in earlier WSOP action

Nacho Barbero has just been spotted watching training videos on his iPad.

Originally our PokerNews field reporter believed that Barbero was actually playing on PokerStars, but on closer inspection it was deemed that Barbero was actually watching some training videos.

Solomon Silenced by Lindgren

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

With a raise to 700, Erick Lindgren made the call next to act before a player in the hi-jack smooth-called too.

From the button, Jarred Solomon potted to 3,800 to force the blinds and the original raiser out as Lindgren made the call. The hi-jack pushed, Solomon called off his 5,225 and Lindgren pushed for 5,425.

Solomon: {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Lindgren: {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Hi-Jack: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Spades}

The {6-Spades}{J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop gave Solomon top two pair and Lindgren bottom two, but it would be the {6-Clubs} on the turn which would send the advantage Lindgren's way.

The river landed the {Q-Diamonds}, and with Solomon unable to re-suck, he was sent to the rail as Lindgren moved to 16,000 in chips.

Some Bust Outs

Ashby Wins One

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

Richard Ashby raised to 400 and another player raised to 1,300. Ashby called and the flop came {j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}. The other player bet 2,000, Ashby went all in and the other player called.

Ashby: {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{10-Spades}

The turn was the {9-Diamonds} pairing Ashby's nine and the river was the {7-Hearts}. Ashby's lone pair of nines was good enough to win the hand and boost his stack to 15,000.
