Mayrinck Mixing it up

We caught up with the action in a multi-way pot on a {J-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Spades} flop with around 1,225 in the middle already. The big blind bet 700 and the action was on Maria Mayrinck in middle position. She went into the tank and stared down her opponents. Mayrinck eventually laid it down only to see the next player in the hand raise to 2,500. This prompted Mayrinck to give an extremely confused look as to what was going on.The original bettor folded and discussion began about what the players had.

Mayrinck and the original bettor went back and forth over who had the better hand and the original bettor said that he had folded queens. Mayrinck wouldn’t say what she had but asked the winner of the hand what he had raised with several times only to given no response.

We stuck around for the next hand to see Mayrinck raise to 150. The hijack who had won the last hand along with the cutoff and big blind called to see a {Q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop come down. It was checked to the hijack who bet 400 and it got folded back around to Mayrinck. Again she went into the tank and showed {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds} before folding. Her opponent turned over {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for the worse hand as he won his second pot in a row.

Fohrenbach Eliminated

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Ricky Fohrenbach raised to 200 preflop and was called by the player on the button and the player in the big blind. The flop ran out {3-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

The player in the big blind checked and Fohrenbach led out with 275. The player in the button called and the player in the big blind folded. The turn brought the {K-Spades}. Fohrenbach bet 650 and his opponent moved all in. Fohrenbach made the call to put him at risk for elimination.

Fohrenbach turned over {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and his opponent turned over {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. The {3-Diamonds} hit on the river and Fohrenbach was sent to the rail.

Boeree Makes Great Call

We were checked in on Liv Boeree while she contemplated a call on a {4-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{9-Spades}{K-Diamonds} board. She faced a bet of 1,000 and had been apparently thinking about a call for awhile, because we heard her apologize to her table-mates for taking so long. With an exasperated sigh Boeree made the call.

Her opponent flipped over {4-}{5-} for a pair of fours, Boeree then showed {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a better pair of jacks.

Jean-Robert Bellande is Here

We just found Jean-Robert Bellande and we saw him call a raise of 125 preflop in the big blind. On a {2-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} Bellande bet out 325, and managed a call from the initial raiser preflop.

Both players checked on the {Q-Spades} turn. There was a repeat of action as both players checked again when the {5-Hearts} hit on the river. Bellande's opponent flipped over {3-}{3-}, Bellande then snickered and mucked.

Madsen Wins One

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Action is pretty slow here in the first few levels of play. We aren't seeing many hands go to showdown and the pots are rather small. We caught Jeff Madsen in a hand when he raised to 175 and the player on the button reraised to 350. Madsen made the call.

The flop ran out {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs} and both players checked. The {4-Diamonds} hit on the turn and Madsen led out with a bet and his opponent folded.

Valdemar Kwaysser Crippled Early

We found Valdemar Kwaysser putting out a bet preflop making it 125. The button and Garry Gates both called, but the big blind raised and made it 400 total. Kwaysser then moved all in for 2,675, the button and Gates folded leaving the action on the big blind who didn't even hesitate and threw his chips in the middle. Cards were then tabled.

Kwaysser: {Q-}{Q-}
Big Blind: {K-}{k-}

The big blind had Kwaysser dominated going to a {a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop. Kwaysser would need a queen heading to the turn-river, but he received no help as the cards came out {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. Kwaysser had about 500 more chips than his opponent so he is still in, but he is very low.

Boeree Chops

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Liv Boeree managed to get all of her stack in preflop holding {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} only to find the player in the big blind had {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}.

The flop came {5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Boeree said "Chop!". The {6-Clubs} turned and once again Boeree yelled "Chop!". Fortunately for Boeree, the {2-Hearts} struck the river, putting a straight on the board and allowing a chopped pot.
