Someone at the table opened the pot with a raise, and Andrew Cohen reraised all in for about 110,000 total. Across the table, Stephen Peppin called all in for his last 76,000, and the initial raiser ducked out of the way to let him fight heads-up for his tournament life.
Showdown
Cohen:
Peppin:
Cohen had to sweat a trio of deuces, but the board was ultimately clean and safe. The kings hold, and Peppin has doubled back to about 175,000, knocking Cohen down to just 32,000 little chips.
From under the gun Nam Le opened for 15,000 and Steve Watts called from the button. The flop came and both players checked. The turn came and Le bet out 16,000 and Watts called. The river fell and Le bet out 22,000. Watts called a third time and tabled but Le turned over and took the pot.
Randy Dorfman opened for 14,000 in late position and Kevin Eyster raised to 35,000 on the button. Dorfman reraised to 59,000 and Eyster moved all in for 360,000. Dorfman tanked for a few minutes with his tournament life at stake, but called with 278,000. The hands were tabled and they were off to the showdown.
Dorfman:
Eyster:
Board:
With Eyster whiffing on the board he shipped a huge portion of his stack over to Dorfman.
We found this hand developing on the turn with the board reading . Franciscus Dekkers led out with 16,000 and Thomas Miller called. The river came and Dekkers put out 26,000. Miller called and tabled for ace high and Dekkers mucked. Miller is up to 340,000.
After losing vs. all in preflop in the last hand Belley Philippe was fairly low, and we saw him move all in for his last 40,000. When action folded around to Steven Watts in the big blind he called.
Philippe:
Watts:
Philippe was ahead, but the way he has been running it was anyone's hand. With a flop Philippe was going to need a lot of help come turn-river. He received none as the cards came out , and was eliminated. Watts took the hand down with two pair, kings and jacks.
We found Justin Pechie moving all in from early position. He was fairly short stacked and looking to gain some chips any way he could, and things were looking like he might just steal the blinds, but that was before Belley Philippe acted. Philippe moved all in when action reached him, preventing any of the blinds from coming along for a flop. After everyone folded cards were flipped over.
Pechie:
Philippe:
The cards came out and even though Philippe was able to hit an ace, it was irrelevant as that ace also gave Pechie the flush and the winning hand.
David "The Dragon" Pham was down to 153,000 chips when he got them all in before the flop with . Gaurav Law made the snap-call with , and the race was on with Pham at risk.
The board ran out , and Pham finds his pair to double back to about 325,000.
Kevin Eyster raised from early position making it 13,000 preflop. When the action folded to Benjamin Jenkins he reraied and made it 33,000 to go. Eyster made the call and both players saw a flop.
Both players then checked and got to see the turn. It was here that Eyster check-called a bet of 35,000 from Jenkins. A river lead to checks from both players and a showdown. Eyster only showed the and Jenkins countered with for two pair, aces and nines.
