Bets Against Abe

Level 8

"The whole tournament has bets against Abe!" stated Matt Glantz.

"I've punished him. I've gone from 17 to 60, and he's gone from 60 to 30!" continued Glantz.

We aren't exactly sure what bets are against Abe Mosseri, but we will do our best to find out.

Queens for Chau

Hold'em

With an under the gun raise, Chau Giang popped it up to 3,000 only to have Abe Mosseri cap it from the button. The blinds and original raiser folded as Giang made the call to see a {6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop fall.

Mosseri bet out 1,000 and Giang check-called before both players checked the {K-Hearts} on the turn. Giang led for 2,000 when the {9-Spades} landed on the river with Mosseri making the call.

Giang tabled his {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} to collect the pot and move to 55,000 in chips.

Brett Richey, Andrew Barber and a third player were in action on the {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{A-Spades} board. Barber and the unknown player checked before Richey bet. Barber and the other player called.

The river was the {3-Clubs} and action checked to Richey. He bet again and both his opponents called. Richey showed the {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and both of his opponents mucked their hands to allow Richey to scoop in the pot.

Drinking Must Be Working for Young

Omaha-8

Six players went to the flop for the minimum amount and it came down {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades}. Andre Akkari, Brett Richey, Jason Young and one other player checked to a player who bet. Andrew Barber called, Akkari and Richey folded and then Young called. The other player folded.

The turn was the {Q-Clubs} and Young checked. The next player bet, Barber called and Young called.

After the {J-Hearts} fell on the river, all three players checked.

Young tabled the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Spades} for aces and queens and won the pot. The drinking must be working.

Catching the action with the board reading {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{K-Spades}, we found Chino Rheem firing out a bet with John Juanda making the call.

When the {10-Clubs} landed on the river, Rheem fired again with Juanda making the call only to muck when shown the {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} of Rheem.

As Juanda slips to 40000, Rheem moves his stack to 35,000 in chips.

Omaha-8

With a sizeable pot sitting in the middle and the board reading {As]{Q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}, we found Noah Boeken tabling his {A-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}.
