Sexton Ships One

Level 6 : 250/500, 0 ante

Mike Sexton open-limped from under-the-gun and a player raised to 1,500 from middle position. Action folded back around to Sexton, who called.

The flop came {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and Sexton checked, prompting a bet from the middle position player for 2,800. Sexton then casually counted out a raise to 6,000 even and slid it into the middle. His opponent quickly mucked.

Sexton is sitting with 80,000.

...Aaand Antonius is Out

Level 5 : 200/400, 0 ante

Patrik Antonius has made his exit nearly as quickly as he came in. We missed the hand where he apparently lost a majority of his chips, however, his last hand went down as follows.

The player in the hi-jack opened for 800 and was called by the button and Antonius from the big.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Antonius donked for 2,600. The hi-jack folded but the player on the button raised enough to put Antonius all in. Antonius re-checked his hole cards and slid his remaining chips into the middle.

Antonius: {4-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Opponent: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{5-Spades}

The {3-Spades} turn and {8-Hearts} river were no help to Antonius, who stood up and wished everyone good luck.

"I have bad luck today," Antonius said as he walked away from the table.

Habib Misses Everything, Eliminated

Level 5 : 200/400, 0 ante

We came to Hasan Habib's table as he was all in on the turn, with the board reading {7-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. The players revealed their cards, and Habib had a world of outs.

Habib: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Opponent: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{q-Spades}

Habib needed any club, heart, or jack in the deck to win, but the river brought an uneventful {4-Diamonds}, and Habib was eliminated.

Tran Triples To Big Stack

Level 5 : 200/400, 0 ante

J.C. Tran got the last of his 30,000 in prelop against two other players, and when the hands were flipped up, Tran saw that he was in good shape.

Tran: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Opponent 1: {7-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Opponent 2: {j-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{k-Spades}{q-Spades}

Tran's opponents were splitting kings, meaning that he would only need to avoid flush outs or two pair coming. Well Tran virtually left his opponents drawing dead when the flop came {a-Spades}{6-Spades}{a-Clubs}, giving Tran quads. He could only lose to a royal flush coming, but it came {q-Clubs} and {5-Clubs}. Tran is now sitting on 95,000.
