Greg Dyer Eliminated in 17th Place ($43,976)

Greg Dyer (17th Place- $43,976)
Greg Dyer (17th Place- $43,976)

Greg Dyer raised to 30,000 from the cutoff and received a call from Jeremy Menard in the big blind. Menard then checked the {3-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop, allowing Dyer to continuation bet 50,000. Menard sprang to action with a check-raise to 132,000, Dyer moved all in for right around 400,000, and Menard made the call.

Dyer: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Menard: {K-Spades}{9-Spades}

The king on the flop no doubt made Dyer's big slick more appealing, but Menard had outflopped him with two pair. The {8-Clubs} turn changed nothing, and neither did the {7-Hearts} river. Dyer was eliminated in 17th place while Menard is up to 1.73 million.
