Dolan Down

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Before the end of Level 9, 2010 November Niner John Dolan was eliminated in a remarkable hand versus Nick Maimone.

The hand began with Dolan opening for 2,000 and getting one caller in Maimone on the button. The flop came {A-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Spades}, and Dolan continued with a bet of 3,400. Maimone called. The turn was the {J-Clubs}, prompting another bet from Dolan, this time for 6,800. Maimone called again.

The river was the {5-Spades}. Dolan was firing once again with a bet of 15,100, and this time Maimone shoved all in for about 50,000. Dolan called with the rest of his chips, showing {Q-Spades}{9-Spades} for a queen-high flush. But Maimone had {8-Spades}{4-Spades} for a better straight flush, and Dolan hit the rail.

Maimone has about 155,000 now at the start of Level 10.
