Mosseri and Rechnitzer Chop it Up

Level 23

Stud 8

Rechnitzer: {x-}{x-} / {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts} / {x-}
Mosseri: {x-}{x-} / {J-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs} / {x-}

Gerard Rechnitzer was firing on third, fourth and fifth street before Mosseri raised him on sixth street. Rechnitzer called and then called another bet on seventh. Mosseri showed {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{x-} for a pair of queens and he chopped with Rechnitzer's {A-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Spades} for a low.

Chop it up.

Stud 8

Thomas Whitehair: {x-}{x-} / {Q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{3-Spades} / {x-}
Abe Mosseri: {x-}{x-} / {6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} / {x-}

Thomas Whitehair had bet on third and fourth before calling a bet from Abe Mosseri on fifth. Whitehair raised all in on sixth over the top of another bet and Mosseri quickly called. Whitehair showed {Q-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for queens up but Mosseri had the {4-Spades} already in his hand for a full house along with a {3-} or {2-} (we couldn't see which but he picked up the other one on seventh). Whitehair needed a queen but only got the {A-Spades} and was eliminated.

Antony Lellouche Eliminated in 9th Place ( $17,731)

Antony Lellouche
Antony Lellouche

Stud 8

Antony Lellouche was all in against Michael Mizrachi.

Lellouche: {A-Spades}{2-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{x-}
Mizrachi: {4-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{x-}

Lellouche paired his aces on fifth but by this point 'The Grinder' already had a straight and when Lellouche bricked on sixth he already began to walk off before seventh street was even dealt.

With that, our final table has been set!

Omaha 8

Matthew Ashton raised the cutoff and was called by Gregory Jamison and Michael Mizrachi in the blinds.

The {Q-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop as checked to Ashton who bet, Jamison folded and Mizrachi made the call. On the {A-Clubs} turn, Mizrachi check-raised and Ashton reraised all in.

Mizrachi showed {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Ashton flipped {A-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts} - the latter needed to get there with his back up low draw or hit another ace or six to scoop but the river was the {9-Spades} and we're now moving to the secondary feature table for our unofficial final table.

Ashton Attempts Impression of a Yo-Yo

Omaha 8

Matthew Ashton had doubled up on a {Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{x-} board with {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts} against Michael MIzrachi's {10-Clubs}{7-}{2-Hearts}{x-} in a pretty cooling spot.

Soon after though, Ashton was paying him back his money, calling "The Grinder" down but mucking on the end of a {K-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Hearts} board when Mizrachi showed him {Q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Spades} for a wheel.
