Ronconi Continues His Hot Streak

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

We caught the action on a board that read {3-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{j-Spades} with what appeared to already be around 500,000 in the pot. Darryl Ranconi was in the small blind position and checked to Lauri Varonen who was on the button. Varonen bet 300,000 and Ranconi made the call. Varonen tabled {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} but it was no good. Ranconi had {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} which was good enough to ship the 1,000,000-plus pot his way.

He now has 2.25 million chips while Varonen is down to 140,000.
