Phil Hellmuth was down to just 2,000 chips when the big blind (400) reached him, cutting his stack to 1,600. Robert Mizrachi opened with a raise from middle position, and it folded back to Hellmuth who checked his cards. He then looked up addressed us as we stood by the table noting the action.
"If I fold this hand heads up and you put it on the internet," he said, "there will be fireworks." He then did just that, showing three cards -- -- then declaring the fourth was the
. "I just want to blow their minds," he added.
The table was reacting to the fold with laughter, but Hellmuth was undeterred. "This is the most misunderstood event on the planet," he said. "There are just six players who understand that fold. Mikey "the Mouth" [Matusow] is one of them. The six best PLO/8 players..."
"And they're all broke," said Mizrachi, provoking more chuckles.
Hellmuth is now sitting with just 1,000.
Tommy Chen limped in from under the gun, and it folded around to the small blind who called. The big blind checked his option. The flop came , and all three players checked. The turn was the
. The SB checked, BB bet 1,100, Chen called, and the SB folded.
The river was the and Chen's opponent checked. Chen bet 1,500, and with a grimacing look his opponent called. Chen showed
for the nut flush, and his opponent showed one card -- the

Chen is up to about 24,000 now.
Hellmuth won one pot but had fallen back to just 1,400 when he moved all in and got a call from Robert Mizrachi in the small blind. Mizrachi showed, and Hellmuth had

The very next hand, an under the gun player raised to 1,500 and Hellmuth put his last 900 in and every one else folded. Hellmuth had and the UTG player had
the board ran out
and that was all she wrote for Hellmuth. No blowup for Phil though, he wished everyone luck and calmly walked out (hell has frozen over).
Joe Serock, down to just about 3,000, opened with a pot raise from middle position and got one caller from the button. The blinds folded and the flop came all hearts -- . Serock tossed his remaining chips in and his opponent quickly called.
Serock showed for top two and his opponent showed

Mike Wattels scored a double knockout in this hand. A player went all in for his last 900 in late position, Wattels re-raised to 3,100 in the small blind, the big blind shoved all in and Wattels called.
Wattels:
BB:
LP: (Happened too fast! Those dealers can be quick)
The board ran out and Wattels took out both players. He has moved up to 23,000 and is looking good.

"Still hovering at about 36," said Alex Outhred of his chips as he limped in from middle position. "But he's the man over there," he added, pointing to Tommy Ly across the table sitting in the big blind. It folded to the small blind who completed, Ly checked, and the flop came . It checked to Ly who bet pot, and that was enough to take it down.
While Outhred has about 36,000, Ly is now up around 40,000.
