Welcome to the last $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em event of the summer. Today's Day 1a field, which will be combined with tomorrow's Day 1b field, is set to be a massive one. PokerNews' coverage of this event will begin after the first break, or about 2:20 PM PT.

Last year, Marcel Vonk won the last of the $1,000 events and took home $570,960 for beating out a field of 3,844 players. Day 1a alone had 2,340 players, which is much the expectation today.
