Play is now finished for the day and after we've lost almost 600 players in our ten levels at almost one player a minute as we went through the field, as well as the bubble, like a hot knife through butter. With the casualty rates almost equivalent to those in the film Starship Troopers, very few players have survived. However it is Anibal Andres who will be going into the penultimate day of this event with the chip lead, having amassed 799,000 by the end of today's proceedings.

Other players still in with big stacks are Stanislav Alekhin (786,000), Terrance Eischens (709,000) as well as Max Lykov (338,000) and Matt LaGarde (517,000) who all have a chance at taking this final $1,000 bracelet of the 2011 World Series of Poker. Among the casualties however were Jeff Madsen, Martin Jacobson, Vitaly Lunkin, Terrence Chan and Day 1 chip leader Paul Volpe - all of whom managed to make the money, though not as far as they would've hoped.

Tomorrow we will be playing down to our final table which by WSOP standards should prove to be a relatively short day give that were will only be five tables of nine players remaining. We'll be restarting once more at 2.30pm, so until then, it's over and out from the PokerNews Reporting Team!
