Rast kept betting for the next two streets, picking up a and a . Turner called on fourth with an , but when he picked up another on fifth he got out.
Turner is down to just 175,000, while Rast is cruising along with 2.06 million.
Sebastian Ruthenberg: (X)(X) / / (X)
George Lind: (X)(X) / / (X)
We caught the action on fourth street, where Ruthenberg bet, and Lind called. After making a better board, Lind led on fifth, sixth and seventh. Ruthenberg called all three bets, and Lind tabled for an eight-seven.
Ruthenberg opened for a seven-six though, and won the pot.
Yan Chen: (X)(X) / / (X)
Phil Hellmuth: (X)(X) / -- FOLDED
Matt Glantz: (X)(X) / / (X)
We picked up the action on fourth where it checked to Chen who bet, and both Glantz and Hellmuth called. It checked to Chen again on fifth, and this time only Glantz stuck around. Glantz called Chen's bets on sixth and seventh as well.
Chen showed for a nine-high straight and Glantz mucked. Chen moves to 1.38 million, Glantz slips to 880,000, and Hellmuth is now down to 370,000.
Amid Hellmuth's grumbling afterwards, Ben Lamb challenged him to play the same eight-game mix heads-up.
"I'll play you, I'll play you," said Hellmuth, though didn't pursue specifics. "Well, I'm not going to let you keep talking sh*t," said Lamb, pursuing the point. "You're real good, kid, real good," Hellmuth added derisively.
Yan Chen then piped up, saying he'd bet on Hellmuth in such a match. "Well, he won't bet on himself," said Lamb.
Meanwhile, Hellmuth is facing another, more immediate challenge, as the bubble is approaching fast.
Sebastian Ruthenberg: (X)(X) / - fold
George Lind: (X)(X) / / (X)
Owais Ahmed: (X)(X) / / (X)
Sebastian Ruthenberg completed and George Lind called. Owais Ahmed also called. On fourth street, Ruthenberg checked, Lind bet and Ahmed called. Ruthenberg folded. On fifth street, Lind bet and Ahmed raised. Lind made the call. On sixth, Lind checked, Ahmed bet and Lind called. On seventh, Lind checked, Ahmed bet, Lind check-raised and Ahmed just called.
Ahmed turned over for a spade flush, . Lind mucked his hand and Ahmed won the pot.
Ly brought it in, Arieh completed, and Turner put in a raise. Ly and Arieh called. Turner led on fourth street, Ly and Arieh called, and Ly led on fifth when he made a pair of tens. Arieh called, and Turner called all in for less than a bet - 36,000.
Ly and Arieh checked on sixth, and Ly check-folded on seventh. Arieh showed for a straight, and before sweating his last card, Turner showed for kings and eights. Turner's down-card was a disappointing , and he was eliminated from the tournament.
With Turner's elimination in 18th place, we are now on a six-figure money bubble!
Phil Hellmuth: (X)(X) / / (X)
Matt Glantz: (X)(X) / -- FOLDED
Robert Mizrachi (X)(X) / / (X)
On third Hellmuth raised, Glantz called, a short-stacked Mizrachi reraised, and both Hellmuth and Glantz called. It checked to Hellmuth on fifth who bet, Mizrachi pushed his last 8,000 in, and Glantz called. Glantz then folded to Hellmuth's fifth-street bet.
The remaining cards were dealt, and Hellmuth tabled and then the on seventh for a pair of nines. His hand was best, as Mizrachi had and picked up the on the end for deuces. Mizrachi goes out in 17th -- squarely on a huge, six-figure bubble -- while Hellmuth now sits with 510,000.
They are presently redrawing for the final two eight-handed tables.
