Gus Hansen was just all in twice and doubled up both times. On the first one, he made jacks full of kings to beat Shaun Deeb's nines full of sixes. Both players held two pair going to seventh and filled up on the end.
On the next hand, Hansen was all in again on fifth street and won with a pair of threes to double up through Sebastian Ruthenberg. After both of the double ups, Hansen moved back to 255,000.
But...
Hansen dropped all the way back to 55,000 after losing another hand of Stuf shortly thereafter. It's been quite a rollercoaster of a day for him.
Scott Seiver just got moved to a new table and he's seated in the one hole. Who's on his left? None other than Owais Ahmed. This could get interesting if the two get into it again.
Jason Lester: (X)(X) / / - FOLDED
Owais Ahmed: (X)(X) / - FOLDED
Sebastian Ruthenberg: (X)(X) / / (X)
Lester completed on third and Ahmed and Ruthenberg called. It checked to Lester on fourth and he bet, and both of his opponents called. On fifth it checked to Lester again and he bet once more, and this time only Ruthenberg called. Both of the remaining players checked sixth, then when Ruthenberg led seventh Lester let it go.
Ruthenberg moves up to 890,000, Lester down a bit to 920,000, and Ahmed remains near the top of the counts with 1.86 million.
Jason Lester: (X)(X) / / (X)
Gus Hansen: (X)(X) / / (X)
Vladimir Shchemelev: (X)(X) / / (X)
Lester completed, Hanses raised all in for 42,000, and Shchemelev called. Lester called. Lester and Shchemelev checked on fourth street, Lester called a bet from Shchemelev on fifth, and sixth and seventh both went check-check.
Hansen opened up for a pair of tens, but Lester tabled for a pair of aces. Shchemelev mucked.
Hansen is eliminated in 22nd, while Lester's stack remains over a million chips.
Down to his last 35,000, Rami Boukai pushed it all in from early position and it folded around to Brian Rast in the big blind who made the call. Boukai showed and Rast .
The flop brought a to pair Rast, but also a couple of hearts to give Boukai a flush draw. But the turn was another and the river a blank, and Rast took the small pot.
Boukai hits the rail in 21st. Rast moved up over 2 million on that hand, but lost the next to slip to 1.91 million.

"Honey! You see that? I played a nine and an eight!"
No-Limit Hold'em
From the cutoff seat, eleven-time World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth raised to 26,000. George Lind called from the button and everyone else folded. The flop came down and both players checked to see the land on the turn. Hellmuth bet 50,000 and Lind made the call.
The completed the board on the river. WIth a pair of tens now on board, Hellmuth bet 130,000. Lind made the call.
Hellmuth tabled the for a queen-high straight and Lind mucked his hand.
It folded to Jon "PearlJammer" Turner who raised to 32,000 from the button, Minh Ly called from the small blind, then Marco Johnson reraised all in for 184,000 from the big blind. Turner stepped aside, but Ly called Johnson's shove.
