Paris Eliminates Zajdner

Bryan Paris open-raised and Mark Zajdner moved all in. Action folded back around to Paris and he called, tabling {A-} {K-Hearts}. Zajdner was behind with {A-} {J-}.

The board ran {9-Hearts} {9-} {4-} {10-Hearts} {5-Clubs} and Paris climbed the counts while Zajdner hit the rail.

Four Kings, Two Tables and One Blogger

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

John Horvatich got all in with Matt Lawrence preflop. Horvatich held {K-Hearts} {K-Clubs} and Lawrence had {J-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}. The board ran {8-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {10-Clubs} {A-Clubs} and Horvatich's set of kings kept him in the tournament and doubled him up.

Daryl Katz got all in preflop against Antonio Rodrigues. Katz held {K-Hearts} {K-Clubs} and was up against Rodrigues' {6-Diamonds} {6-Clubs}. The board ran {9-Diamonds} {J-Spades} {3-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {10-Clubs} and Katz's kings held.

The Hazy Night of James Boyle

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

We reported on the various behavior of James Boyle last night due to his excessive drinking. He chugged a whole beer while mulling a call, almost mucked his (winning) hand and was ordering two drinks at a time.

He was rudely awakened this morning by series of text messages and phone calls from his friends and family. He had no idea what they were talking about and after a couple conversations he was told he was still in the tournament.

"I don't remember you at all buddy," he said to another tablemate that he played next to for the last level of the night. Even Bryn Kenney was giving Boyle information about hands he played last night.

He apparently doesn't remember much of the night and he has gotten off to a good start today already. He's already on a first name basis with a cocktail server and we've got him at four beers inside of two levels already.

Michaelis On a Roll

Nikolai Sears open-shoved and Steven Michaelis called right behind him. The blinds released and the hands were tabled.

Sears: {A-Hearts} {J-Hearts}
Michaelis: {9-Clubs} {9-Spades}

The board ran {J-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {3-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {9-Hearts} and after tapping the table on the flop Michaelis was apologetic when he hit his set on the river.
