Ben Who?

Level 7 : 150/300, 25 ante

You may have already noticed the massive stack that just keeps growing on our chip counts page. He is currently crushing the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place stacks in our counts of Sorel Mizzi, Tyler Patterson and Tom Dwan. So who is Ben Volpe?

Well, he's certainly been making a name for himself this World Series. He has already cashed three times and made one final table, eventually finishing 6th in Event #34, a $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em tournament. He also came in 30th in the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em Triple Chance tournament. Along with his brother, Paul, who has cashed four times this summer (in four different games), it's safe to say we should know who Ben Volpe is by now.

His current stack rests at 133,000. To put that into perspective for this stage of the tournament, that is more chips than three tables had combined when we started the day. It's also larger than the average stack will be when we have just 115 competitors left. Considering that we still have over 1,200 players, that is a pretty impressive start after only seven hours of play.
