Binger Bounces Back

Nick Binger
Nick Binger

Nick Binger limped on the button while David Bach checked his option in the big blind, leading to a flop of {Q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. Bach checked, Binger bet 75,000, Bach check-raised to 225,000, Bach moved all in, and Binger called off.

Bach: {Q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Binger: {K-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}

Binger's supporters went nuts when the {10-Hearts} hit the turn to give him a flush and guarantee their man at least half the pot. Now imagine that excitement amplified times two as the {K-Spades} bricked on the river and allowed Binger to scoop the pot.

He is right back in the thick of things with 2.26 million.

Bach: {3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Bach in the Lead

Heads Up: David Bach & Nick Binger
Heads Up: David Bach & Nick Binger

David Bach limped on the button and Nick Binger checked his option in the big blind to bring about the {10-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop. Binger lead out for 75,000, Bach called, and the {9-Spades} hit the turn. Both players checked, leading to the {2-Diamonds} on the river.

At this point Binger bet 250,000, Bach raised to 750,000, and Binger called.

Bach: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
Binger: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

It was a bit of a cooler for Binger, who held nines full against the superior tens full of Bach.

"You just called, Nick," Dan Shak offered support from the rail. "It was a good just call."

All In and a Chop

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

David Bach raised to 150,000 on the button and Nick Binger came along for the ride in the big blind. The latter player proceeded to check-call a bet of 300,000 on the {9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop, which was followed by two checks on the {5-Clubs} turn.

When the {5-Diamonds} peeled off on the river, Binger bet 575,000, Bach raised pot, and Binger called off.

Binger: {A-Diamonds}{3-Spades}(X)(X)
Bach: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

Bach had the high hand locked up with his full house, but Binger held the nut low. It was a chopped pot, which quickly dampened the excitement that temporarily gripped the spectators.

Binger Headed in the Right Direction

David Bach raised to 150,000 on the button only to be met with a three-bet to 450,000 by Nick Binger in the big blind. Bach made the call only to muck on the {2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{J-Diamonds} flop after Binger bet 900,000.

Binger is back up to 2.1 million and seems to have momentum on his side has he has taken down a few subsequent, albeit small, pots.

Binger Slides

Nick Binger limped on the button while David Bach checked his option from the big blind. When the flop came down {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{4-Spades}, Bach checked, Binger bet 75,000, Bach check-raised to 225,000, and Binger called.

The {2-Hearts} turn inspired Bach to bet pot, which was 550,000, and Binger called. Both players then checked the {9-Hearts} river and Bach rolled over {K-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for kings and nines. It proved good enough to win as Binger slide his cards to the muck.
