Carson Doubles

Level 8 : 400-800, 100 ante

Duane Wellnitz opened to 1,700 from the cutoff, Russell Carson called on the button, and the flop fell {8-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Both players checked.

The {8-Hearts} turned, pairing the board, and Wellnitz led for 3,700. Carson called.

The river was the {a-Spades}, and Wellnitz led out. Carson moved all in for about 20,000, and Wellnitz tank-called. Carson revealed {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} for aces full of eights, and Wellnitz flashed {j-}{8-} before mucking.

Carson won the hand, doubling to well over 50,000 chips.
