Kojo Eliminated After Running Queens Into Aces

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Just before the break, a huge hand developed that resulted in the elimination of Kunimaro Kojo. It began with a series of preflop raises and reraises that ultimately saw Kojo all in with {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts} against the {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} of his unknown opponent. The board ran out an uneventful {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Kojo made his exit from the $10K Pot-Limit Hold'em Championship late in Level Two.

The Master Doesn't Tweet

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Right before the break we caught a bit of dialogue between Gavin Smith and Men "The Master" Nguyen who are sitting at tables right next to each other. Smith yelled out, "Men, do you tweet?" to which Nguyen replied "Do I drink?"

Smith laughed and said "I know you drink... I mean Twitter. Do you tweet?" Nguyen shook his head and said no.

Oliver Bests Busquet

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

With the board reading {8-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, Olivier Busquet put out a small bet and Chris Oliver raised to 6,100. Without much hesitation, Busquet reraised to 14,500 and Oliver went into the tank. He eventually decided to make the call and showed the {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for a full house. Busquet mucked his hand and Oliver raked in a nice pot.

Sarah chatted with Oliver just after he registered. Check out the video below.

Mercier Shows Mercy with Check-Calls

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

On a flop of {8-Hearts}{5-Spades}{Q-Spades}, Jason Mercier checked called a bet of 3,800 from his opponent. He then checked called another bet, this time 6,700, when the {6-Clubs} was put out on the turn. When the {K-Spades} peeled off on the river, Mercier checked and his opponent decided to slow down with a check of his own.

Mercier showed {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} and it was good enough to take down the pot. Mercier is up to 44,000.

Devilfish vs. Kessler

David "Devilfish" Ulliott
David "Devilfish" Ulliott

On one of the most stacked tables in the room, Allen Kessler raised to 450 from middle position and received calls from Erik Cajelais in middle position, David "Devilfish" Ulliott on the button, and Dwyte Pilgrim in the small blind. When the flop fell {9-Spades}{Q-Spades}{6-Hearts}, action checked around to Ulliott and he bet 1,500. Kessler was the only player to make the call and it was heads up to the turn, which came the {K-Hearts}.

Both players proceeded to check, as they did on the {10-Clubs} river. Kessler revealed {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts} for pocket rockets, but Ulliott flipped {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a rivered two pair.
