Heads Up So Far

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 3,000 ante
Heads Up: Bjorin & Perrins
Heads Up: Bjorin & Perrins

The heads up so far has seen both player stick with min-raising from button and occasionally giving each other walks. There have only been three draws so far.

In the first Bjorin called a Perrins raise and both drew two. It went check-check and Bjorin's {2-}{2-}{K-}{9-}{4-} was good as Perrins revealed he had drawn a pair of aces.

In the second Bjorin called another Perrins raise, the Englishman stood pat, and Bjorin drew two before they both checked again. Perrins showed {J-}{10-}{9-}{7-}{3-} for the pot.

Finally, in the biggest pot so far, Bjorin raised to 24,000 and Matt Perrins reraised to 62,000. Bjorin made the call, Perrins drew two and Bjorin just one, Perrins checked and Bjorin quickly fired out 75,000. Perrins looked as though he was going to make the call but after a minute or so thinking, he opted to muck his hand instead.

Matt Perrins raised to 20,000 and Chris Bjorin called. Perrins drew two and Bjorin stood pat before the Englishman bet 30,000. Bjorin thought about calling but gave it up.

Chris Bjorin raised to 25,000 in the small blind but then folded when Robin Rightmire moved all in for 108,000 from the big blind.

Rightmire, now actually with enough chips to raise, made it 25,000 on the button and won the blinds and antes.

"Like A Rash"

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 3,000 ante
Robin Rightmire
Robin Rightmire

Robin Rightmire has been the short stack for quite a while but just won't go away.

He has doubled up in three of the last ten hands including this most recent one against Matt Perrins that put him up to around 120,000.

Rightmire was all in for his last 58,000 and Perrins reraised all in and he got the fold from Bjorin. Rightmire had a pat {J-}{10-} and Perrins had a draw to a wheel with {7-}{4-}{3-}{2-}. Perrins however paired up with a {2-} and Rightmire took down the pot to move up to 120,000.

After the hand Rightmire yelled out to his two followers on the rail, "I'm like a rash, I just won't go away."

With 120,000 he is now a factor again, and this event is far from over.

Bernard Lee Eliminated in 4th Place ($28,422)

Bernard Lee - 4th Place
Bernard Lee - 4th Place

Matt Perrins raised to 20,000 and Bernard Lee reraised all in for 111,000. Perrins got a count, then decided to call. Both players drew one card.

Perrins: {8-}{6-}{4-}{2-}
Lee: {8-}{7-}{6-}{2-}

"Can I see what I have to beat please?" asked Lee. Perrins turned over the {7-} for a very strong eighty-seven, Lee needed a three to win or a four to chop. He took his time and gradually peeked at the card before offering his hand to Perrins and wishing him good luck. Lee turned over the {K-}, and we are down to three players.
