Kurganov Busts

Level 17 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

On the last hand before the break, which ran over into break time, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier busted Igor Kurganov.

Grospellier raised all in from early position and action folded to Kurganov on the button. He thought for a bit and then called all in for approximately 300,000. Grospellier held the {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and Kurganov the {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}.

Kurganov pulled ahead on the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop, but the {10-Spades} on the turn gave Grospellier a Broadway straight and left Kurganov hoping for just a chop on the river to stay alive. The river was the {6-Spades} and Kurganov was eliminated in eighth place.

Trickett Busts To Failla

Will "The Thrill" Failla raised to 100,000 out of the cutoff seat and Sam Trickett reraised all in from the button for 514,000. After the blinds folded, Failla called.

Failla: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Trickett: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

The {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Diamonds} board provided no help for Trickett and he was eliminated in ninth place.

ElkY Doubles

From under the gun, Shaun Deeb raised to 80,000. Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier reraised all in for 353,000 from the cutoff seat and action folded back to Deeb. He made the call and rolled over the {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}. Grospellier held a better pair with the {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}.

The flop, turn and river ran out {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Grospellier finished with a full house to doubled up.

Meling Knocked Back By Deeb

Action folded to Steve Meling in the cutoff seat and he opened with a raise to 100,000. Shaun Deeb was on the button and made it 1.5 million to essentially put everyone left with cards all in. Everyone, including Meling, gave it up and Deeb won the pot.
