We are in the Money!

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

With each table eagerly awaiting a person to go bust we found ourselves at Table #371 where Joshua Bailey in the big blind faced an all in bet from his opponent in the small blind. Unfortunately for Bailey, he only had 500 left. Bailey made the call and cards were tabled.

Bailey: {8-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Small Blind: {Q-}{9-Diamonds}

Bailey was in rough shape heading to the flop being dominated by his opponent's queen nine. With a {A-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} flop Bailey's hope grew that maybe a chop pot was possible. Alas a {5-Spades} on the turn ruined those dreams.

A {7-Clubs} on the river sent Bailey to the rail. With that we are now officially in the money.

McMullin Not Afraid of the Bubble

John McMullin came in for a raise to 2,500, and Nicolas Vaca, the big stack at the table, was next to act. He elected to reraise to 5,100. It folded back around to McMullin, who tanked for about 30 seconds. Despite looking slightly pained by the decision, and being square on the money bubble, he elected to move all in for 28,000 on top. Now it was Vaca's turn to go into the tank, and he too was clearly pained by the decision. After lifting his cards up and down off the table a few times, he finally let them go, giving the pot to McMullin, who now has over 40,000.

Vogel's Flopped Monster Can't Extract Value

We caught up with the action on a {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop, where Mike Vogel deliberated a bit from the big blind position before checking. His lone opponent, Trish Baker, checked behind from middle position.

The turn brought a {6-Clubs}, check, check.

River: {K-Spades}

Vogel looked deep in thought, and eventually chipped out a 4,500 bet and pushed it into the middle, which was more than the pot.

"Nice bet," Baker said and folded.

Vogel flashed a {3-}{4-} for a flopped full house and mucked.

Vogel is sitting with about 40,000 while Baker is down to 24,000

James and the Giant Chip Stack

James Routos
James Routos

When we caught up to James Routos we found him facing an all-in bet from his opponent in the big blind preflop. Routos thought for a few moments and dishearteningly through out the call. Cards were tabled and the flop was spread.

Routos: {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Big Blind: {A-Spades}{3-Clubs}

A {k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop fell out of the deck giving Routos a leading pair of kings heading to the turn. With a {6-Clubs} planting on fourth street an ace would be the only thing to take this pot from Routos. A {q-Clubs} fell, and Routos added more to his continual growing mountain of chips.
