Tehan, Brown Get Back to Starting

Joe Tehan brought it in with the {3-Diamonds}, then called a completion from Chad Brown's {10-Diamonds}.

Tehan: (x-x) / {3-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {A-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} / (x)
Brown: (x-x) / {10-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} / (x)

Brown was the one doing the betting the whole way, and only on seventh street did the action check down. Tehan revealed that he'd made a lowly pair of threes as he flashed the {3-Hearts}, but it was no good. Brown rolled over {7-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {6-Hearts}, and his two pair earned him the pot.

Brown goes up, Tehan goes down, and they both go right back to starting stack.

The Champ Is Here

Level 2 : 200/400, 50 ante
Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier won this event in 2011.
Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier won this event in 2011.

We were just talking amongst ourselves where the defending champion Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier was, and sure enough, on cue, the Team PokerStars pro just walked in and took his seat at table 352. There are a few familiar faces at this table, but one specifically familiar for Grospellier, Steve Landfish.

Last year, Grospellier and Landfish faced off heads up for this very bracelet, with Grospellier coming out on top. Landfish took home over $200,000 for his efforts last year, and he surely will have alittle revenge on his mind this time around. The table they are at is loaded, with the likes of Matt Glantz, Chris Klodnicki, and Abe Mosseri also shuffling chips. This will be a fun table to watch.

Su Straightens Out A Big Pot

Brown: (x-x) / {6-Hearts} fold
Su: (x-x) / {7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} / (x)
Harmen: (x-x) / {8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} fold
Opponent 1: (x-x) / {j-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades} / (x)
Opponent 2: (x-x) / {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} / (x)

Team PokerStars pro Chad Brown brought in, and Su raised it to 200. Jennifer Harmen called, as did more opponent 1, before opponent 2 raised to 400. Everyone else called this raise, and they called a bet from the same player on fourth street. On fifth street, he bet out again, and this time, Harmen folded, while the rest called.

When Opponent 1 paired up on sixth street, he led out, and Opponent 2 raised. Su called, as did the original better, and they went to seventh street. Both players checked to Su, and he fired out a bet of 400. They both called, and Su announced "jack high straight". Both players showed thier frustration as they mucked, and Su collected the pot. He's off to a great start in his quest for back to back final tables.
