Day 1 of Pot-Limit Omaha Action Set to Begin
Welcome to Day 1 of Event 11, $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha at the World Series of Poker. Cards are scheduled to be in the air at noon with ten levels scheduled for today’s play. This event attracted over 1,000 entrants last year and saw Elie Payan take home nearly $300,000 for his efforts.
David “Doc” Sands finished in 4th place, Roland Israel made the final table, both Binger brothers cashed and even Will Failla cashed in the event.
Players will begin with a 1,500 stack with two rebuy lammers worth 1,500 each. Players can cash them in at any time between hands up through the fourth level. At that point, the lammers will be automatically cashed. We'll try to note any players that cash them in from the start.
A strong field is expected today and this is third time a variant of Omaha is on the schedule this year. We’re expecting a large turnout today, factoring in that this is the only Day 1 starting today, the low buy-in and the interest over the big PLO games that have been running in the Pavilion Room.
