Williams Eliminated

David Williams, short of making the money.
David Williams, short of making the money.

David Williams has just been eliminated, which brought us down to the magic number of 126. Since they are within one table of the money bubble they will play until the money. Hopefully, it will be inside the next 26 minutes.

Tonne Soaring

We missed the hand but Chuck Tonne has just eliminated another opponent. His "challenging to count" stack looks to be around 175,000.

Phahurat's Aces Lead to Double Up

When we got to the table, AP Phahurat was all in for over 20,000 preflop holding {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, and he was in great shape, as his opponent showed {a-Spades}{j-Spades}{k-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. The flop came down {2-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}, and Phahurat stayed out in front. The {8-Diamonds} hit the turn, which didn't change anything, as neither player had diamonds. The river came the {9-Spades}, and despite their being a four card straight on board, Phahurat's lone pair of aces was good enough to ship him the pot worth 44,000.

Triple Up, An Elimination & Big Side Pot

Level 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

So we came rushing up to the table when we saw about seven players standing up around it. We don't know the preflop action but the result was three players were all in and had their cards tabled.

Fabio Breitfuss: {A-Hearts} {A-Spades} {5-Hearts} {4-Hearts}
Dave James: {Q-Spades} {J-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {9-Spades}
Unknown: {K-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {J-Spades} {9-Spades}

The board ran {10-Spades} {4-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {9-Hearts} {2-Clubs} and James was the shortest stack and tripled up, the unknown player was busted and Breitfuss took the large sidepot.

Eliminations Slowing

Level 9 : 400/800, 0 ante

The frantic pace set in the earlier eight levels has slowed down considerably. Players were busting faster than we could keep up with and tables were disappearing. With both the money bubble and the end of the day looming we're thinking making the money is about a 50/50 chance at this point.

Chan Catches A Double Up

We didn't catch the exact preflop action, but we saw that Terrence chance got the rest of his 12,000ish stack in preflop with {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. He was in great shape, as his opponent showed {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. The flop came down {7-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, and his opponent was drawing dead to runner runner. The {3-Diamonds} didn't help at all, and the meaningless river was the {9-Hearts}, giving Chan an unnecessary flush.

After the hand, Chan is up to 24,000.
