Ivey Makes Quads, Scoops Massive Pot

Pat Pezzin{x-}{x-} / {7-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} / {x-}
Alexander Kuzmin{x-}{x-} / {2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{k-Spades}{3-Diamonds} / {x-}
Phil Ivey{x-}{x-} / {6-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} / {x-}
Opponent 1{x-}{x-} / {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{2-Spades} / {x-}

After a series of bets, raises, and re-raised, each player put in a total of five bets preflop. The action checked to Ivey on fourth street, and he tossed out a bet. All three players called. Ivey paired his six on fifth street, and led out. Again, all three of his opponents called.

Pat Pezzin paired his jack on sixth street, and checked. Alexander Kuzmin bet, Ivey just called, and so too did Opponent 2 and Pezzin. On seventh, the action checked to Ivey who fired one more bet out, and everybody called but Pezzin.

Ivey rolled over {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for quads, and nobody had a qualifying low, so he scooped the whole pot.

"I needed a six for a straight," Pezzin said after the hand.

"What?" Ivey replied, taking one of his headphones off.

Pezzin repeated himself.

"Oh," Ivey responded, putting his headphones back on.

Lisandro Fills Up, Bests Duke

Annie Duke{x-}{x-} / {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{q-Clubs}{k-Spades} / {x-}
Jeffrey Lisandro{x-}{x-} / {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts} / {x-}
Opponent{x-}{x-} / {3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} / {x-}

We caught up with the action on fourth street, where Duke bet out with a pair of queens. Both of her opponents called, and she made trips on fifth. Duke led out again, and Lisandro and the third player called. Duke bet one more time on sixth, both players called, and all three players checked on seventh.

Duke went to open the rest of her hand, but Lisandro showed {6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for fives full of sixes. Both Duke and the third player mucked, and Lisandro scooped the pot.
